The Ancestral Subtitles English

Indigenous knowledge and struggles with 45 years of oil spills in the ancestral Kukama lands of the Marañon watershed in Peru. Our non-profit, e-tech international, works with local environmental monitors from this and many other watersheds to provide technical tools and so that the depth of knowledge existing in these communities can take a central role in monitoring and restoration. Thank you to the Kukama federation, ACODECOSPAT and all the Kukama people for their openness and dedication. - Ricardo Segovia

Bertsolaritza is an ancestral, completely improvised, form of Basque poetry. Anachronistic? Not at all: the bertsolari, with their spontaneous creation and wordplay, could be an inspiration for rappers and other improv artists.

We also acknowledge the 48 contemporary tribal nations historically tied to the lands that comprise what is now called Colorado but who now live in the American Southwest, the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountain Region.
